Joan Berglund has painted landscapes of eastern Long Island for many years. Her oil and watercolor paintings display a range of perspectives that highlight the area’s natural and structural beauty.

Joan studied painting at the Art Students League in New York in the fifties. She lived in Douglaston Queens and painted with the Long Island Art League. Joan moved to the east end in the late 70s.

Graceful and alluring, Joan’s peaceful paintings are part of numerous private collections. Her paintings have been shown in the Boston area at the “Out of the Blue” Gallery, 108 Gallery in Somerville and Weston Gallery in Cambridge. Her work has also shown at the Chrysalis Gallery in Southampton, the Yorkville Library in New York City, deCordova Gallery and The South Street Gallery in Greenport and in many Southampton Artist shows.
