Enid V. Hatton, an East End artist and eight year-exhibitor at the St. John’s Episcopal Art Show, is a career and award winning artist, and an acclaimed medical illustrator. Her rare skills combine years of medical and artistic training (Johns Hopkins School of Medicine – Art Center College of Design – Boston College) and a 25 year career track of experience. Enid has won myriad awards for excellence in visual communication and counts a blue chip roster among her prestigious clientele: Physicians, Pharmaceutical Companies, Surgical Equipment Companies, Sports Periodicals, Medical Publishers, Attorneys, etc.
In addition to her expertise in medical illustration, Enid is a widely recognized fine artist. She has trained under America’s greatest living artists in landscape, maritime art and portraiture. Her skills in figurative and landscape are the basis of awards from the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club and the Hilton Head Art League, to name a few. She had a one-person retrospective of her medical and her fine art paintings at the Sarah Gillespie Gallery in Gulfport, Mississippi, and is represented by a growing list of prestigious US galleries.
In addition to her success in these artistic endeavors, Enid was recently appointed to the U.S. Air Force Art Program by the office of the Secretary of the Air Force. She is one of a select group of artists chosen to serve her country by recording Air Force history in a visual and cultural body of work, an honor for which she is singularly proud.
