I am a landscape painter. I love what is left of the flat open spaces of the East End, painting outside, on site, when possible. In my studio I paint from reference notes and photos. My medium is oils, preferably on wood. I love the way the wood’s grain interacts with, and sometimes dictates, my composition, becoming another layer of the mist or a ripple in the water. Our unique East End atmosphere, the subtle hues to the sharp contrasts, keep me challenged & enthused.
