ANNIE WILDEY – Painting Workshop

2 Day Workshop (Saturday and Sunday) – $200
Workshop participants will paint plein air oil studies on-site at the water’s edge in Orient and Greenport. Through demos and individual instruction, participants will explore a variety of techniques in oil to capture and convey the energy of a moving subject such as the ever changing sea. Throughout the workshop, participants will be encouraged to experiment, explore mark-making techniques and have fun with the materials.
Annie Wildey Bio:
Annie Wildey is a British painter and printmaker. She received her MFA from the New York Academy of Art and was awarded the Academy’s coveted Post-graduate Fellowship for 2008-2009. In addition, Annie received the Academy’s Prince of Wales Scholarships in 2006 and 2007, and was nominated for a Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant. She has received artist residencies in France, St Barthelemy, was the 2009-2011 Artist in Residence at the William Steeple Davis House, Orient, Long Island. She was selected in 2010 to exhibit in the Long Island Biennial at the Heckscher Museum.
